A new regional ALF agreement has been entered into by the Stockholm County Council (SCC) and Karolinska Institutet (KI). The agreement is inteded to foster more advanced collaboration between the university and the region’s healthcare services in order to make significant improvements to human health.
The new building will be in use in Solna in 2017. Karolinska University Hospital and Karolinska Institutet will jointly lead the commissioning and relocation planning in an appointed commissioning group.
On Monday 2 February, the hospital management team made a policy decision on care placements at Karolinska University Hospital in Solna from 2018 onwards.
Stockholm County Council (SLL) is investing SEK 81 million per year in a completely new programme for research at Karolinska University Hospital and Karolinska Institutet in Huddinge. The aim of the investment is to provide long-term support to established global leaders and to promising young researchers within biomedical, translational and patient-focused clinical research.
The plans concerning the layout of operations at the NKS building in the hospital areas in Solna are now mostly complete. Among other things, it concerns the emergency room, maternity ward, operating theatres, intensive care units and radiology, which require specially designed facilities.
