The conferment ceremony on 17 May in the Stockholm City Hall was a milestone occasion for the evening’s celebrities, as they closed the book on many years of doctoral studies that led, no least, to a PhD to add to their diploma collection.

 

Seven million kronor has been raised, which means that the first target set by the Mats Sundin Fellowship, a developmental health partnership between Karolinska Institutet and the University of Toronto, has been achieved.

 

This year’s three Crafoord Prize-winners in polyarthritis received their awards on 2 May from the hand of HRH the King today at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. On 3 May, the three gave popular science lectures on their discoveries at Karolinska Institutet. The lectures and the award symposium was broadcasted on the RSAS website at kva.se.
